1. Booking & Cancellation Policy

All bookings made directly through our website are subject to availability. Check the conditions for your selected product before paying.

Direct accommodation bookings

Direct bed bookings require full payment and are non-refundable. Prices are per bed, per night. All dorms use shared bathrooms; none has an ensuite bathroom. Availability is checked before payment; your booking confirmation follows acceptance of all requested beds.

Fast boats

Fast boat tickets require full payment and are non-refundable. Check your travel date, route and departure time before paying.

Eco activities

Eco activities are operated by an external provider with its own schedule. Confirm your activity and date with the provider before using the access password to pay. Full payment is required and bookings are non-refundable.

Island day tours

Day tours are paid directly to the driver in cash. There is no online day-tour payment. Confirm the route, date, inclusions and cash price before the trip.

Diving packages with Project Laut

The 50% diving deposit is non-refundable. Extra accommodation nights, room upgrades and optional boat tickets are paid in full at checkout. The only balance due on arrival is the remaining 50% of diving. Included dorm nights are not exchangeable for cash.

For bookings through this website, the diving deposit remains non-refundable. Project Laut's other cancellation, rescheduling and participation conditions apply. The waiver's short-activity refund schedule does not make this website deposit refundable. Send cancellation or rescheduling requests in writing to Project Laut by email or WhatsApp; rescheduling is subject to availability and the applicable conditions and fees.

  • Complete the waiver and medical questionnaire before diving. Disclose relevant health conditions or medication to the team and obtain medical clearance if required.
  • Insurance covering your planned scuba dives is required. Check your cover with your insurer.
  • Leave at least 18 hours between your last dive and flying.
  • For certified-only packages, bring your certification card or digital proof. No certification is needed for Discover or Open Water training.

Read Project Laut's full waiver and participation conditions. A booking acknowledgement is not medical clearance or a signed waiver.

2. Free Harbour Pickup

Free arrival harbour-to-hostel pickup applies only to inbound Sanur to Nusa Penida boat tickets booked through The Penida Project. It does not apply to outbound departures or tickets bought elsewhere.

3. Hostel Rules & Conduct

We are a community-focused hostel. We expect all guests to treat our staff, property, and fellow travelers with respect. Management reserves the right to refuse service or evict guests who violate community guidelines without refund.

4. Liability

The Penida Project is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. Guests participate in island activities and excursions at their own risk.
