Eco Tourism Nusa Penida

Ecotourism Nusa Penida is a community-led conservation project. For over seven years, our community has been restoring and protecting the island’s marine and coastal ecosystems. Guests can work alongside experienced and knowledgeable conservationists, gaining hands-on experience in environmental conservation.

You can participate in different activities each day, such as restoring coral reefs by planting coral fragments underwater, reforesting mangroves and restocking our nursery, experiencing seaweed farming with local farmers, visiting schools to educate children, and taking part in habitat cleanups.

Project Laut

Project Laut offers enriching ecotourism experiences centered around sustainable practices and environmental conservation. Visitors can participate in seaweed farming, learning about traditional methods and the importance of this practice to the local economy and ecosystem. There are also mangrove restoration projects which contribute to the preservation and rehabilitation of vital mangrove forests that play a crucial role in coastal protection and biodiversity. These activities provide a meaningful way to connect with the local environment and support conservation efforts on the island.
